Demand Prepaging for Flash Memory Using Static Program Analysis

This paper proposes prepaging scheme using static program analysis to improve the predictability of execution behaviors of applications in embedded systems equipped with flash memory. We built a static program analyzer and the RTOSbased reference platform equipped with flash memory implementing the demand prepaging scheme proposed in this paper. Evaluation results show that the proposed prepaging scheme shows competitive execution times and improved memory consumption and prepaging hit ratio results compared to sequential prepaging.
